This evening, as with every evening since, a train carrying Ukrainians and loaded humanitarian aid leaves Prague for the Polish-Ukrainian border every evening. The joint project of a private rail operator and the non-governmental organisation People In Need, the train first carries durable foodstuffs, personal hygiene products or sleeping bags as well as passengers, many of them due to join the Ukrainian army, to the eastern Polish city of Przemysl close to the Ukrainian border. On the way back, the train then takes refugee women and children running away from the war to safety in Prague. IMAGES
