While hundreds of thousands have rallied across the globe in solidarity with Ukraine, Serbia has emerged as a rare outlier, with many in the country supporting Vladimir Putin and his decision to invade the former Soviet republic. Vendors in Belgrade openly sell shirts with Putin's face on them whilst a large mural of the Russian president declaring him a "Brother" to the Serbs adorns a wall in downtown Belgrade.
