"Colombia needs people who really think about the Colombian people," says one Bogota resident as Colombians prepare to vote on Sunday March 13 to draw up a shortlist of presidential candidates for elections in May while also electing the 296 members of its Congress. Nearly 39 million of Colombia's 50 million inhabitants are eligible to vote in a complex but critical election that comes with the president and legislature both at rock-bottom levels of public opinion.
