Description
Dolphins, cranes flying over the blue water by the hundreds... Every week the 'Thera i Luna' boat of the NGO 'Les Peuples de la Mer' (People of the Sea, Eds.), leaves Port-Leucate, in the Aude region, to track animals likely to cohabit with dozens of giant wind turbines in the Mediterranean. The aim of the observation missions is to draw up "a previous state of the area" in order to "understand how and if the wind turbines will impact on wildlife", explains Serge Briez, the NGO's founding president.
