Description
A team of Nepali mountain guides, led by record Everest climber Kami Rita Sherpa, prepare for the risky job of fixing the routes to the Everest summit.
The eight guides will be the first to reach the summit and the ropes they set will be used by all other climbers this season to reach the summit of the highest mountain in the world. Almost a ton of ropes, gears and oxygen cylinders will be packed for the team to be transported to the Everest base camp.
"It is very risky," says Kami Rita Sherpa who has climbed the Everest a record 25 times. "We have to take responsibility of someone else's life." IMAGES, FILES IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
