Description
Dozens of Sufi Muslims in India's Kashmir light torches or zools (in local language) outside a cave shrine of a Sufi saint to mark the local New Year. This centuries-old New Year festival, called the Zool festival marks the beginning of agricultural activities in Kashmir. Sufi Muslims carry torches and pray in front of a cave shrine in Anantnag, a city in the southern part of India-administered Kashmir. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
