Description
The renovated Washington DC Temple is set to open its doors for the first time in almost 50 years, with a public open house starting on April 28. The 160,000-square-foot structure, located on the outskirts of the US capital, was completed in 1974 and is usually only accessible to the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "People feel like what we do inside is a secret, but as you saw today, it's just sacred," says Kevin R. Duncan, a Church representative, during a press tour. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
