Some inhabitants of Kharkiv, just 21 kilometres southwest of the Russian border, decide to stay put despite the constant threat of shelling. "We are going to fight, to fight as long it is needed for the victory. We stay here" says shop owner Pasha. Kharkiv had nearly 1.5 million inhabitants before Russia invaded in late February.
