When fleeing her village in the Zaporizhzhia region, under fire from Russian artillery and air raids, Olga Babich had little time to gather her kittens. She lowered them into a basket, covered them with a tea towel and placed them on the back seat of her old car that was struggling to start. Now arriving in the city of Zaporizhzhia, still in shock, Olga finds her daughter and her husband waiting for her, in a car park where evacuees, from areas facing the threat of Russian attack, are being treated.
