Description
In Ukraine's most easterly city of Sieverodonetsk, volunteers organise humanitarian aid distribution for residents who decided to stay in the increasingly besieged city under Russian shelling. "They abandoned us completely, they fled, they never looked back," British volunteer Philip Ivlev-York says of most NGOs, which left at the beginning of Russia's invasion. 65-year-old Galina Abdurashikova’s flat was shelled and burned on May 2, and she has been in an abandoned car ever since. "I have no idea what I am going to do," she says as sporadic shelling can be heard in the distance. "I don’t know anyone or have any money. I just want to survive."
