The Taliban has imposed some of the harshest restrictions on Afghanistan's women since seizing power, ordering them to cover fully -- including their faces -- in public, ideally with the traditional burqa. "Women are not the same as 20 years ago," says 21-year-old Herat province resident Fatima Rezaie. "They stand up and defend their rights."
