Mourners, soldiers, and military police members carry the casket of Egyptian officer Soliman Ali Soliman, killed in an attack claimed by the Islamic State group in the Sinai Peninsula, during his funeral in the city of Qalyub, in the Qalyubia Governorate, in the northern part of the Cairo metropolitan area. The attack on the water pumping station in the Sinai peninsula was the heaviest loss of life the Egyptian army had suffered in years in its long-running campaign in and around the Sinai against militants loyal to the jihadist group.
