"Today is the culmination of 13 years of waiting, 13 years of struggle": the Yemenia Airways crash trial, in which the Yemen-based airline is accused of manslaughter and unintentional injury, opens in Paris in the presence of the only survivor, Bahia Bakari. She was aged 12 when flight Yemenia 626 crashed off Comoros on June 29, 2009, killing 152 people, and survived by clinging to debris in the sea before being found by a fishing boat the next day.
