The VisitBurundi initiative is aiming to attract tourists. The small, landlocked nation is located in the heart of Africa's Great Lakes region and has often been associated with poverty, ethnic violence and a political crisis which prompted 400,000 people to flee the country. Burundi may not immediately remind people of centuries-old forests and tea plantations, yet the young team behind the VisitBurundi initiative are planning to change the image of their country.
