Description
Louisville is home to the two remaining abortion clinics of Kentucky, a Southern conservative state where the debate rages on as the Supreme Court appears poised to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the United States. Outside one of the clinics, anti-abortion rights protesters gather daily to pray and call out incoming patients while volunteers in favor of abortion rights escort them to the entrance. "We do have people that are trained street medics... we train in active shooter scenarios," says volunteer Meg Stern. On the same sidewalk, pastor Hunter Norwick tries to change clients' minds, three days a week. "They kill children... It's a horrific reality," he tells AFP about the clinic, next to which anti-abortion rights groups have established a rival "crisis pregnancy center." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES ARRANGED IN SEQUENCES
