Description
Several hundred people are demonstrating in N'Djamena against the presence of France in Chad, which the protesters accuse of supporting the ruling military junta. Protesters burned at least two flags of the former colonial power and vandalised several Total petrol stations, a "symbol" of France. The demonstration, organised by the opposition civil society platform Wakit Tamma, had been authorised by the authorities.
