Description
A Russian serviceman on trial for committing war crimes in Ukraine as part of the first trial of its kind since Moscow launched its invasion pleads guilty to the charges.
Asked in court via an interpreter if he was guilty of the charges, which include war crimes and premeditated murder, 21-year-old serviceman Vadim Shishimarin responds "yes", and also confirms that he understands what he is accused of. SOUNDBITE
