Londoners welcome the United Kingdom's hottest day so far of 2022, as temperatures soar in the southern half of the country on the third day in a row that temperature records had been broken in the UK. The weather, which saw temperatures pass 32 degrees Celsius in some areas, was due to high pressure over the southern part of the country as well as an airflow bringing warm air that has been over Europe, according to the Met Office.
