The Supreme Court ruled against a New York law that was restricting the right to bear guns outside one's home. "It's creating a precedent that there are extremely limited circumstances where one cannot carry a firearm", explains expert Jeffrey Fagan. "Can one carry a firearm into a church? A mass transit? A movie theater?" According to the Columbia university professor of law, the decision opens an interpretation that could go against some cities' restrictions against the possibility to carry a gun.
