From the hill in northernmost Hong Kong where district councillor Jasper Law stood on a bright June morning, the border with China was obvious -- a narrow river dividing farmlands and fishponds from the gleaming skyscrapers of megacity Shenzhen.
But increased Hong Kong government attempts at integration as the territory is subsumed into Beijing's blueprint for southern China have begun to chip away at a once solid boundary.
