Colombian Disaster Response Brigade from the National Army receives a certification to handle 'heavy level' emergencies after a two-day non-stop drill in which more than a hundred soldiers and civilians were assessed by local authorities and international observers. The simulated scenario relives some of the situations and scenes that occurred during the 1999 earthquake in Armenia, where structures collapsed due to the earthquake, and where the first 48 hours are key to the search and rescue of possible victims trapped in the rubble.
