Three alleged gang members are presented to the press after being arrested by the authorities on charges of participating in the murder of three police officers on Tuesday 28, in Santa Ana, El Salvador. On the same day of the arrest, the funeral of one of the slain officers, inspector Carlos Mauricio Velasquez, is held in the city of Coatepeque. El Salvador's Congress decreed a state of emergency at the end of March, at the request of President Nayib Bukele, following the murder of 87 people in the country.
