Description
In the last six years, Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala has experienced a meteoric rise, going from virtually unknown to the best 100m runner in Africa. In the last year, Omanyala and his coach Duncan Ayiemba have mapped out ways to revolutionize Kenyan track and field, which has long been known for its middle and long-distance pedigree. "You have to beat all these odds to come out and sprout to be a sprinter" says Omanyala, who hopes to change the perception of Kenyan athletes and open the door for more sprinters.
