In the city of Toretsk, in the Donetsk region, Galina Durova woke up to the sound of explosions, followed by "a storm of black smoke and red fire" and the sight of her house being destroyed. Toretsk has recently become even closer to Ukraine's eastern front line, as Russia continues its assault in the country.
