Walinaye Mwanguphiri from the lakeshore district of Karonga in northern Malawi shudders each time he recalls how he escaped death by a whisker the day a mob from his village killed his brother and octogenarian parents, who they accused of practicing witchcraft, following the death of Walinaye’s cousin.
