South Africa has experienced a decline in donkey populations due to skin trafficking. Illegal traders believe that the donkey's skin has certain health benefits, similar to that of the rhino horn. Donkey Dairy, a farm in Magaliesberg, has been rescuing donkeys for the last couple of years, rehabilitating them and using their milk for products such as soaps and creams as a sustainable way to bring money into the business.
