As the front line creeps closer to Sloviansk in eastern Ukraine, more and more people flee the area, some leaving their dogs behind. Iryna Orlovska looks after nearly 200 dogs in her animal shelter called "Dai shans" (Give them a chance), founded in 2015. The helpless animals are the reason why she hasn’t left Sloviansk yet herself, despite the near constant shelling that can be heard in the distance.
