Description
Young Indigenous people march for residential school survivors in Stoneham, in the Canadian province of Quebec. Coming from various communities, the group embarked several days ago on a 275 km trek from the Innu community of Mashteuiatsh -- the location of Quebec's last residential school to close its doors -- to Quebec City, ahead of Pope Francis' visit later this week. "We know that healing is first and foremost for the survivors. They were the first to be impacted," says Jay Launiere-Mathias, who organized the march. "We, the younger generation, are also on our healing path." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
