Description
The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), was built to be the largest hydroelectric project in Africa, and was at the centre of a regional dispute ever since Ethiopia broke ground in 2011. Now the dam's second turbine has begun generating power. FILE IMAGES of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam
