Description
For 40 years now, every 15th of August, the participants of the famous Dinant bathtub regatta sail down the Meuse River in their specially-built boats. There is only one obligation: a bathtub must touch the water. Two events shape the day: the descent of the river on board of boats built by the participants in advance and a speed race involving everything from the boat's construction to navigation. According to the organisers, 15,000 people attended this year's event which included a flea market and a parade and on top of the regatta itself. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
