The bay of Beago, an important fishing village located on the shores of the lagoon bordering Abidjan, has disappeared under the plastic waste and garbage that has covered it in recent years. Waste from the industrial zone and the neighborhoods of the commune of Yopougon end up amassing in Beago bay carried by rainwater.
