Description
At the Lac des Ciments, north of Paris, French military police closely monitor fences and barbed wire around the lake, where five people have drowned since 2013. The security reinforcements have "drastically reduced" the number of intrusions to around 40 a day, from over a hundred in 2020, says the force's squadron leader. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
