Description
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi arrived in Kyiv late Monday as the head of a 14-strong team ahead of a visit to the Zaporizhzhia plant -- Europe's largest atomic facility, which has been occupied by Russian troops since early March. Rafael Grossi told media that International Atomic Energy Agency will report back after the mission.
"IAEA is moving in to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. As you know, we have a very very important task there to perform, to assess the real situation there, to help stabilise the situation as much as we can," he said.
The plant was targeted over the weekend by fresh shelling, Ukraine's nuclear agency Energoatom said, with Moscow and Kyiv trading blame for attacks around the complex of six nuclear reactors located on the banks of the Dnipro River. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
