Description
Farmers harvest grapes for winemaking in a vineyard in northeastern Shandong province, China's largest wine-producing region. Early harvest typically starts in late August, when Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling grapes are picked while summer heat still lingers.
Despite the Monsoon climate and rainy summers that could give rise to grape diseases, Shandong boasts itself of having the longest winemaking history and harbouring some of the most important vineyards in the country. STOCKSHOTS
