Description
Singapore presents Philippines president Ferdinand Marcos Jr and first lady Louise Araneta-Marcos with a new orchid hybrid named after them in a ceremony on Wednesday, during Marcos' two-state visit.
Marcos was presented with the Dendrobium Ferdinand Louise Marcos at the National Orchid Garden during his first state visit to Singapore.
He met with the Filipino community in Singapore on Tuesday and is expected to meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Wednesday.
Marcos and Lee are expected to sign several bilateral agreements to strengthen cooperation on counter-terrorism and data privacy during their meeting.
Singapore typically presents visiting dignitaries with an orchid hybrid named in their honour as a welcome gift. IMAGES
