The Burundian Parliament approves the appointment of Interior Minister, Gervais Ndirakobuca, to the post of Prime Minister. The new head of government replaces Alain Guillaume Bunyoni, less than a week after President Evariste Ndayishimiye warned of those in his entourage who see themselves as "all-powerful", who would be inclined towards a "coup d'Etat", spending their time "sabotaging" his efforts.
