The flooding and torrential rain in Bangalore, the IT capital of India, has not only brought the IT corridor to standstill, migrant workers who live in shanties were forced to vacate their homes in the middle of the night when the water gushed inside their homes.
"I thought it was normal rain, but it flooded like a sea and water gushed inside my home, I don't have a bed to sleep in, no clothes to wear and I have been in the same saree for 5 days," said a petty shop owner, victim of the floods. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
