Description

The Cooper Motor Company in Kenya count amongst their collection a vintage Land Rover which they claim transported Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to Kenya in 1952. Elizabeth, Great Britain's princess and heir to the throne at the time, was on a visit to the former colony in February 1952 when she received news of her father's death, making her queen. After a record-breaking 70 years on the throne, the 96-year-old monarch died on September 8 at her residence in Balmoral, Scotland. IMAGES
