With the current shortage of mustard, growers of the seeds in Burgundy will more than double their production, hitherto supplanted by Canadian competitors.
"The shortage will continue for a few more weeks or months. Things will improve from October because we, the manufacturers, will finally be able to use the seeds from the harvest of this year in Burgundy," says Luc Vandermaesen, the managing director of "Reine de Dijon" company.
