Description
The organisers of Europride speak to the press after handing over a petition to the Serbian government signed by over 29,000 people to claim permission to hold the Pride March. "It is a fundamental right marching at Pride. And this fundamental right does not depend on circumstances, it does not depend on convenience" says one organiser. The march is part of the pan-European festival of the LGBTQ+ community, hosted in a different European city each year. This year it was scheduled to run from 12 to 18 September in Belgrade but was banned by the authorities on the grounds of security concerns. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
