Iranian dissidents announce they have filed a new lawsuit in US courts against Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi over his role as a judge following the Islamic revolution in which thousands were sentenced to death, amid the leader's visit to New York for the UN General Assembly. "This litigation campaign is a step towards justice and an attempt to help victims regain their dignity," says former political prisoner Navid Mohebbi during a press conference on the civil case being filed in the Southern District of New York under the Torture Victim Protection Act.
