Description
Germany is expected to grow by 0.2% in 2023, says the country's government. "From spring onwards, we would expect the economic picture to brighten and economic growth to pick up again," Elga Bartsch, head of economic policy at the ministry, tells the press. Speaking at the presentation of the annual Economy Report 2023, Germany's Economy Minister, Robert Habeck, says "the recession will be shorter and milder, if it happens at all". IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
