In Regensburg, Bavaria, the birthplace of Benedict XVI, the deteriorating health of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI has sparked a wave of emotion among churchgoing Catholics. A handful of believers braved the cold to attend morning masses at St Peter's Cathedral and St John's Church to "accompany" the former pontiff "in his final journey".
