The Taliban have "literally erased" women in Afghanistan with a ban on working in the aid sector and NGOs the latest restriction on their rights, says Fawzia Koofi, former MP. She is calling on the international community to hold the Taliban accountable. "They have literally erased woman, there is nothing left except that the next edict might be that woman should not breathe," she says. "The world should cut really diplomatic ties with Taliban in protest."
