Description
Nurses across England have begun two days of strikes over pay, threatening fresh disruption for patients in the creaking state-run health service. Taking part in a picket line outside St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London, Emergency Department nurse Orla Dooley says that patient safety is being put at risk by low staffing levels, and that better incentives are needed for new staff to join. 'As someone who's been a nurse for 10 years, if I was to retrain today I wouldn't be a nurse. It's something I used to love, and that's really sad,' she says. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
