Brazil marks the New Year with fireworks display on Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach, attracting thousands of spectators.
"I want 2023 to be a lighter year for all of us, a year of many achievements, of unity especially in the country," says Fernando Miguel, a 27 years-old teacher who watched the show.
