The Senegalese government has announced new measures to increase road safety, including a ban on night bus trips and the import of used tires, after an accident killed 39 people on January 8. "We will be uncompromising with those who contravene the rules enacted to guarantee the physical safety of our fellow citizens" says Amadou Bâ, the Senegalese Prime Minister. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
