Following his acquittal last year in a lower court, suspected warlord Gibril Massaquoi, who moved to Finland in 2008, appears in a Finnish appeals court, accused of committing and inciting murders in Liberia's civil war. The prosecution intends to present new evidence for the appeal and the defence will call new witnesses. "We should first hear the witnesses and try to find out whether these people are traumatised, which ones are, and how the trauma affects them," says one of Massaquoi's lawyers, Paula Sallinen.
