Description
Andriy Askerov is part of the "Unbroken" project, centered around the recovery of Ukrainians injured by the Russian war. He is now recovering in their rehabilitation centre, in western Ukraine's Lviv. Askerov lost his leg when trying to provide first aid to a fellow soldier. He has now received a new prosthetic leg and undergoes regular physcial rehabilitation. Another Ukrainian soldier, 44-year-old Andriy, was injured by an anti-tank mine during Kherson's liberation. When asked about the future, Andriy says "there is only one end here - the end of the Russian Federation. I am getting my leg back and returning to fight." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
