Description
A funeral is held for an officer in the Azov regiment, months after he died defending the south Ukrainian city of Mariupol in spring last year. The delay stems from the process of exchanging bodies between Russia and Ukraine, which makes early identification difficult, as it often takes months for genetic checks to be carried out. "It took so long to bury him" says Mariana Homeriki, who knew the deceased serviceman. "His name was Ihor Lyndyuk" she explains, "he was a well-known scout in Azov, who defended Mariupol."
